The Iranian regime has released a terrifying propaganda video showing Donald Trump’s “armada” in the Middle East being obliterated. The video depicts a mass attack on the US carrier strike group in the region, involving missiles, submarines, patrol boats and a swarm of jet-powered Shahed drones — the same drones Russia has used extensively to terrorise Ukraine.

The chilling propaganda, created by AI, shows the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier being struck by a torpedo and sailors sprinting across the flight deck as missiles rain down on the mighty warship. It ends with Iranian forces jubilantly celebrating, while surrendering American troops are escorted on a ship with their hands on their heads. Tensions between the two nations have been rising following Iran’s bloody crackdown on nationwide protests, while Mr Trump has alsocontinued to pressure Tehran into making a deal on its nuclear programme.

Mr Trump sent what he described as a “beautiful armada” of warships, including guided missile destroyers, towards Iran last month.

The US President threatened military action over the killing of peaceful protesters or Tehran launching mass executions in the wake of the demonstrations.

Thousands have died in Iran’s bloody crackdown on nationwide protests.

The US has also warned it could launch action if Iran does not agree a deal on its nuclear programme.

Officials from Washington and Tehran have been in discussions over finding an agreement.

On Tuesday, a top Iranian security official travelled to Oman which is mediating the talks over the nuclear deal, aimed at halting a possible American strike.

Iran has repeatedly threatened to drag the entire Middle East into a war and strike American bases in the region if it was to be attacked.

Its state media has tried to accuse forces abroad for the huge protests in the country which erupted in late December over anger after another huge fall in the local currency.

The new AI video isn’t the first piece of propaganda targeting the US Navy warships in the region.

A billboard, depicting an American aircraft carrier with damaged fighter jets on its flight deck, was put up at the Islamic Revolution Square in central Tehran in January.

A threatening accompanying message in Farsi and English read: “If you sow the wind, you will reap the whirlwind.”
