Dubai is facing heavy rainfall as adverse weather conditions are expected to last until Friday.

Dubai Parks and Resorts announced a temporary closure on Wednesday, and UAE authorities have warned people to exercise caution on the roads.

Abu Dhabi is also bracing for rainy weather, and the city has introduced reduced speed limits for safety.

UAE's National Centre of Meteorology has issued an orange alert for lowing dust or sand, strong winds, rough seas, thunder, rain, and clouds.

Dubai Police issue warning

Dubai Police have issued a series of guidlines to motorists as the heavy rain persists.

"Stay alert, anticipate others’ mistakes, and follow these safety tips to prevent accidents," the authority said

Drivers should:

Maintain a safe distance between vehicles.

Ensure the safety and proper condition of tires, windshield wipers, and vehicle lighting.

Reduce speed and drive calmly on wet roads.

Avoid sudden braking and exercise extra caution when approaching curves.

Stay away from valleys, flood channels, and areas with water accumulation.

Avoid going to the sea and beaches.
