The Senegalese defence appeared increasingly nervous as the match progressed into the second period of extra time. In the 117th minute, Lamine Camara made a rash challenge on Tielemans in the penalty area. The VAR review confirmed contact, and the referee pointed to the spot: a cruel decision for Senegal after their magnificent first-half performance.
