Two children died and several children were injured on Monday at a nursery school in Jerusalem amid reports they were exposed to a suspected "hazardous material". Local reports suggest at least 55 kids were left injured, with 15 being rushed to hospital.

According to the officials, the tragic incident occurred on Ha-Mag Street in Jerusalem’s Romema neighbourhood on January 19. The General of Magen David Adom (MDA) Israel's National Blood and Medical Emergency Service said: "The 101 hotline received a call about an unconscious baby girl in a daycare center. The teams arrived quickly and evacuated the baby, approximately 4 months old, who was unconscious, to Shaare Zedek Hospital, while performing CPR. Another baby from the same daycare center was also evacuated to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital, while performing CPR."
