'The scale of sexual violence is horrific.': MSF Amande Bazerolle

Sexual violence has become a hallmark of conflict in Sudan. That according to new report from MSF as we approach in a few weeks the fourth anniversary of the huge war in the country. The report says the scale of devastation inflicted on civilians in Darfur is difficult to comprehend, amid an even longer history of repeated cycles of violence and atrocity. The report saying that in 2024 and 2025 over nearly 3 thousand 400 survivors of sexual violence sought care at MSF health facilities across the north and south of Darfur.  97 per cent of whom were women and girls. In Perspective we spoke to Deputy Emergency Operation Manager for Sudan, Amande Bazerolle.
