The US Secret Service said to have shot dead a man after he reportedly tried to unlawfully enter the Mar-a-Lago estate, Donald Trump's residence in Florida. The man was in his 20s, the Secret Service added.
The authority said the man, in his 20s, had tried to enter a secure perimeter at the Mar-a-Lago resort in West Palm Beach. The incident happened at approximately 1.30am local time (6.30am GMT) while the US President was miles away from Florida, as he currently is in Washington.

Man shot dead at the scene
It was said the man who was shot dead was spotted at the north gate of the property.
FBI leading the investigation
The FBI is leading the investigation and are currently working at the scene.
Man raised shotgun to a shooting position
The Sheriff of Palm Beach County said the man was ordered to drop the shotgun and the gas canister. He then put down the gas can, but raised the shotgun to a shooting position.
Man shot dead was carrying shotgun and gasoline canister
The man shot dead was carrying a "shotgun and gasoline canister," as he was trying to enter Mar-a-Lago unlawfully, it was said in the press conference.
U.S. secret service statement
"A press briefing with additional details will be held at 9:00 a.m with FBI and Palm Beach County."
'Shots were fired'
The man who was shot dead "carried what appeared to be a shotgun" and "shots were fired," the Secret Service said.
