Justin Trudeau trolled for 2011's 'porn site QR code problem' post. Here's what happened back then

Social media users Monday dug up the 2011 post of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about the QR code problem of some porn site that he promised he was working on. Trudeau was trolled for attending Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in Toronto with his family Friday at a time anti-Israel riots rage through Montreal.
"What we saw on the streets of Montreal last night was appalling.

Acts of antisemitism, intimidation, and violence must be condemned wherever we see them. The RCMP are in communication with local police. There must be consequences, and rioters held accountable," Trudeau wrote on the Montreal riots.
Trudeau's public embarrassment continued as now his QR code post again surfaced -- though this is not the first time that this porn site post had been brought back to dead to haunt Trudeau.

What happened in 2011?

In 2011, Justin Trudeau was not the prime minister but the Liberal Party candidate for the Quebec riding of Papineau. It was reported on April Fool's day that the QR code on his personal website at that time led to a porn site. In response to this glitch, Trudeau posted that he was looking into the problem.
“Unfortunately for Trudeau, whoever generated the QR code for his campaign poster made a typo. Instead of typing in “liberal.ca” – the website for the Liberal Party of Canada – he or she typed in “luberal.ca”, the site of an organization devoted to “encouraging the liberal use of lube” in sexual encounters," a 2011 report on Montreal Gazette said.
But it was an April Fool's joke which Trudeau realized later and wrote: “Very cute. Got me for a sec, I almost called my office in a panic, until I remembered it was April 1st. And the QR code actually links to justin.ca.”
