Three members of cabin crew have been rushed straight to hospital after being injured when horror turbulence hit a flight from LA to Sydney, Australia. During its descent to Sydney Airport, the plane experienced severe turbulence, jolting passengers from their seats.
Paramedics rushed to the scene when the Delta Airlines flight DL 41 landed at 6.45am local time on Friday (March 20). The NSW Ambulance Service said it received a call just three minutes before the plane landed. Three members of the cabin crew were taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for further treatment. Two other people were treated at the scene for back pain, headaches and knee pain. Paramedics assessed five people, including two 71-year-olds, a 60-year-old woman and a 37-year-old woman.

There were 245 passengers and 15 crew members on board the Airbus A350.
A spokesperson for Delta told 7News that the flight, from Los Angeles to Sydney, encountered “brief turbulence”.

“Nothing is more important than the safety of our people and our customers, and our priority is taking care of the impacted crew members,” they said.
According to FlightAware data, the aircraft had departed from Los Angeles on Wednesday at 10.11pm local time.
