This evening's GB News was halted for presenter Ben Leo to share his analysis of Donald Trump's meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. It comes as the US President backed Orban's stance on immigration when the latter visited Trump in the White House today.
Leo explained to colleague Miriam Cates, who was in the UK studio: "As a nation, Miriam, you'll be interested in these comments. I think maybe you missed them before you came on air, but Victor Orban was saying Hungary is the only modern Christian country in the entirety of Europe, and he was saying we are surrounded by a liberal globalist left-wing government." Leo said Trump took the opportunity to "absolutely slam Europe" for illegal immigration.

The GB News star expanded: "He said Viktor Orban, in Hungary, zero illegal migration and Orban himself revealed that Hungary is paying a million pounds a day on sanctions because they refuse to bow down to the European bureaucrats and let illegal migrants in.
"Present Trump is saying the rest of Europe has gone to hell with illegal migrants, their countries won't exist in years to come if they don't get hold of the illegal migration problem."
During the meeting between the two leaders, Trump said: “I think they should respect Hungary and respect this leader very, very strongly because he’s been right on immigration."

Addressing immigration in Europe, Trump said: “Look what’s happened to Europe with the immigration. They have people flooding Europe."
Commenting on the issue in more starkly racial terms, the American president added, “You go to some of the countries, they’re unrecognisable now because of what they’ve done. And Hungary is very recognisable.”
