Emmanuel Macron left viewers baffled as he wore sunglasses to Davos in Switzerland on Tuesday. The French President along with other global leaders is attending the annual World Economic Forum this week.
He delivered his speech to the world's leaders while wearing his sunglasses. It comes after he appeared in public with a bloodshot eye a few days prior. Several social media users were left confused after watching him wear sunglasses.
One of the users wrote: "Is this AI if not why the hell french president doing speech wearing k pop artist glasses." A second user commented: "A rather unusual look from French Pres Macron giving his speech in Davos." A third user said: "Whats with Macron wearing Sunglasses at the WEF?"

While adddressing the leaders, Macron said that France and Europe are "obviously" attached to national sovereignty and independence.
He said this is "not an old fashioned" way to live, but rather not to "totally forget" lessons from World War Two, and to remain committed to co-operation.
The French president said that it is because of these principles that his nation have decided to join the military exercises in Greenland "without threatening anyone but just supporting an ally in another European country - Denmark".

Meanwhile, ahead of the summit, the US President Donald Trump shared a private message purportedly from his French counterpart Macron.
In the message, posted as a screenshot to Truth Social, Mr Macron told Mr Trump he could set up a G7 meeting in Paris on Thursday afternoon and that he did not understand what the US president was "doing on Greenland".

According to the messages, Mr Macron told the US president that he could invite "the Ukrainians, the Danish, the Syrians and the Russians" to participate on the margins of the meeting.
Mr Macron also invited Mr Trump to have dinner with him in Paris on Thursday. Mr Trump's replies, if any, were not part of the screenshot that he posted.
