Asia-Pacific markets set for lower open as investors assess Nvidia results, monitor Asia tech stocks

Japan's Nikkei 225 futures pointed to a weaker open for the market, with the futures contract in Chicago at 37,960 and its counterpart in Osaka at 38,150 compared to the previous close of 38,371.76.

Futures for Australia's S&P/ASX 200 stood at 8,004, slightly lower than its last close of 8,071.4.

Hong Kong Hang Seng index futures were at 17,648, lower than the HSI's last close of 17,692.45.

Overnight in the U.S., all three major indexes fell in the regular trading session and before Nvidia's results, with the Nasdaq Composite down 1.12%, while the S&P 500 slipped 0.6%.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 159.08 points, or 0.39%.
