From the show
His blossoming, botanical and flowing forms recall the life cycles of plants and humans. Designer Ali Zalzali tells FRANCE 24 about creating his first couture collection, ‘Natura Morta’ and the evocative short film he made to conjure up the universe of these hand-crafted pieces.
In his edition, we consider the contemporary and classical forms espoused by Egyptian artist Youssef Nabil and how technology can complement the human creative process. And from a childhood in Lebanon to studies in Italy and launching his label in Paris, Zalzali tells us how his creations have been influenced by personal experience. Also, we discuss the surprisingly sustainable nature of Haute Couture.
