Zohran Mamdani was elected mayor of New York city in a key mayoral race for US politics on November 3. After the announcement, many New Yorkers gathered in front of his HQ to celebrate his victory. Mamdani's main campaign message was that question of affordability in New York, and that he would a mayor for all. Donald Trump loomed over his entire campaign, potentially playing in the candidate's favour. FRANCE 24's Jessica Le Masurier tells us more.
