mounted pressure on the interim govt on Tuesday to hold elections latest by Aug, saying there was no reason to delay the democratic process any further now that there was "relative stability in governance".
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's call for political unanimity on the need to break the status quo came a day before the Election Reform Commission is scheduled to submit its report to the interim govt. "We think elections are possible between July and August," Fakhrul said.
