Erling Haaland scored a brace and Orjan Nyland saved a penalty as Norway downed five-time champions Brazil 2-1 to book a place in the World Cup quarter-finals, where they will face either Mexico or England.

Erling Haaland scored twice as Norway beat five-time World Cup champions Brazil 2-1 and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Manchester City striker Haaland headed Norway into the lead on 79 minutes and then crashed in a second in the 90th minute at the MetLife Stadium to bury Brazil's hopes of a sixth World Cup crown.
