US President-elect on Saturday announced that
Fox News
contributor and former Democrat
Tammy Bruce
will serve as
spokesperson
for the state department. Bruce will work alongside Marco Rubio, Trump's nominee for secretary of state.
The president-elect shared the announcement on his 'Truth Social' platform.
"It is my great honor to announce that
Tammy
Bruce will be joining our incredible Nominee for United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, as Spokesperson for the US Department of State."
Trump, in his post, described Bruce as a highly respected
political analyst
who recognised the power and significance of "MAGA" early on. According to Trump, after being a liberal activist, Bruce saw the lies and fraud of the Radical Left, which led her to become one of the strongest conservative voices in media.

Political Career
A former Democrat, Bruce left the party in 2008 to become unaffiliated. In the 1990s, Bruce worked on Democratic campaigns. Now, she uses her experience as a community organizer to counter what she calls “the leftist agenda.”
Bruce’s political history includes supporting former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George W Bush. She served on California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s transition team in 2003 and later became a vocal supporter of Donald Trump.
Bruce advocates for free speech and Second Amendment rights. She credits authors Ray Bradbury and George Orwell with sparking her interest in politics, according to Fox News.
Feminist activist
In the late 1980s, Bruce became a feminist activist, focusing on issues like workplace equality and violence against women. She was elected president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women at age 27 and served on their national board. She later rejected liberal and leftist politics after observing activities she believed harmed the country.
