Swiss authorities are holding a press conference on Friday, one day after a deadly fire killed around 40 people and injured more than 115 at the Crans-Montana ski resort in the Swiss Alps.

Crans-Montana is best known as an international ski and golf resort. Overnight, its crowded Le Constellation bar was transformed from a scene of revelry into the site of one of Switzerland’s worst tragedies.

Investigators are probing the cause of the blaze, which broke out around 1:30am on Thursday during New Year’s celebrations at the bar. They have ruled out the possibility of an attack.
