Voodoo thugs castrated boy, 6, and left him to die in ditch

A six year old boy was left covered in blood in a ditch after he was held down, pepper sprayed and had his genitals cut off mid rumours the attack is linked to voodoo or Satanism.

The young boy was found bleeding profusely, crying for help, drenched in his own blood in South African scrubland. Locals eventually rushed to his rescue upon hearing his desperate screams.

Initially fearing he had been stabbed, his saviours were appalled to discover he had been castrated.

Discovered on desolate land near a gold mine at the Blue Skye informal settlement, the boy was on the brink of death from blood loss when located, as reported by The Mail Online. The community of Boksburg in Gauteng Province was shaken by the news of the gruesome assault, with parents becoming increasingly anxious about their children's safety.

One local, who wished to remain anonymous due to fear of retaliation, said: "Who would do such a thing to such a little boy – it really is the cruellest of the cruel. To pepper spray the little boy is bad enough but to cut off his genitals is just barbaric and that kid will have mental issues for the rest of his life.", reports <a href="https://www.themirror.com/news/world-news/six-year-old-boy-castrated-1240224" rel="Follow" target="_self">the Mirror US</a>.

Another resident added: "The rumours are it is Satanism or taking body parts for a voodoo ritual but this little boy will now not be able to have children ever."

Resident Chantel Naude expressed her fears, saying: "I am considering moving out of the area as we feel unsafe as I have boys as well and don't want them attacked as well.

"I know the boy and he is often around looking for a bit of food or a bit of loose change and he gets by and is always smiling and is always polite.

"He was found out in an overgrown field with his genitals missing and unable to see properly due to the pepper spray which is dreadfully painful on its own."

The emergency services declined to confirm whether his penis as well as his testes were affected. Boksburg South African Police station commander Colonel Matshedeso Mbele confirmed that they are investigating a case of attempted murder.

She would not comment on the extent of his appalling injuries due to their sensitive nature and stated that it remains unclear whether adults or older children perpetrated the attack.

Colonel Mbele noted that the assault occurred on March 1, with paramedics swiftly transporting the victim to the hospital, where he is now thankfully in a stable condition.
