Sex trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre has broken cover for the first time since she was released from hospital. It is the first time that she has been spotted in public since she claimed she had just four days to live. Ms Giuffre pulled into a feed store near her rural retreat at Neergabby north of Perth in Australia in a blue Chevrolet Silverado. It was being driven by a bearded man about 3.30pm Wednesday local time.
The appearance of the mother-of-three is the first time she has been seen in public since posting a disturbing image of her bruised face and body on her Instagram account on March 31. Under that social media post Ms Giuffre claimed she had been given four days to live by doctors after an incident involving a bus. Writing on Instagram at the time, she described the accident and said she had gone into renal failure. "They've given me four days to live," she added.
The 41-year-old added: "Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life" adding: "Godbless you all xx Virginia".
Ms Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew of sex abuse which he denies, was discharged from hospital yesterday (Tuesday),
She has previously described herself as paedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s teenage “sex slave” and was admitted last week in Perth, Western Australia.
Hospital sources confirmed she was escorted out of the facility via a rear exit by security personnel and a family member to avoid a large contingent of media gathered outside the main entrance. Ms Giuffre's hospitalisation followed a visit to Joondalup Health Campus, where she underwent tests revealing a kidney-related issue. She was later admitted to the specialist facility at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
Ms Giuffre, née Roberts, claimed she was sexually assaulted as a teenager by Prince Andrew after being recruited by jailed socialite Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell, 62, was found guilty in December 2021 of helping disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse young girls.
Billionaire Epstein, a former boyfriend of Maxwell's, died by suicide in 2019 in prison in Manhattan, New York, five weeks after he was arrested and charged with sex trafficking.
In 2017, Ms Giuffre launched legal action against Epstein alleging she was trafficked for sex aged 16 by Epstein and Maxwell. Ms Giuffre and Maxwell eventually reached an undisclosed settlement over a defamation case in 2017.
Ms Giuffre alleged Epstain forced her to have sex with Prince Andrew on at least three occasions when she was 17, and that she had spent two days with the royal in the US.
Three years ago, the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, paid a sum of millions of pounds to Ms Giuffre in an out-of-court settlement. He denies any sexual assault accusations.
Bombshell documents related to convicted Epstein were released in the US in February, with US Attorney General Pam Bondi warning: "It’s pretty sick, what that man did."
During an appearance on Fox News, Ms Bondi explained that more than 250 alleged victims were involved in the case, and her office was working to ensure their identities were protected.
