A NEW Jersey senator has accused the feds of being "too afraid" to reveal the chilling truth about the mysterious "drones" allegedly invading US skies.

Reports of these strange UFOs have been escalating, with sightings spanning multiple states and even US airbases in the UK.

Described as being the size of small SUVs and operating in coordinated formations, the drones have left both officials and residents baffled.

State Senator Jon Bramnick has now called on the Department of Defense to “come clean with the American public” about what is really going on above their heads.

He told NewsNation on Saturday: “Whatever these drones are doing, the government really doesn’t want us to know.

“What that must mean is they’re more concerned with us getting knowledge and being afraid of that information than having no knowledge and having all these questions.

“There must be something going on that they can’t tell us because they’re so fearful of what the public’s gonna do when they hear what the drones are doing.”

Bramnick continued: “There’s no way the Department of Defense does not know what’s going on."

The New Jersey senator went on to say that the FBI's declaration that there is no evidence of a threat does not help ease the concern of the or ordinary citizen.

He carried on: “‘There’s no evidence of a threat.’ You mean, they didn’t do anything sinister yet?

“Yeah, I can probably make that statement and I have no top-secret clearance.”

Mystery deepens on who is behind ‘drones' over US as Trump calls for army to shoot them down & blasts Biden’s silence

He questioned how the government could allow the people and local leaders to grow so frustrated if they had a simple solution to share.

“Why would the government allow the public to be so frustrated? Why would the government allow a United States senator to be so frustrated? We heard this from both sides of the aisle,” he said.

Bramnick on Tuesday called on New Jersey to declare a limited state of emergency until officials could provide answers about the drones.

With drones reportedly tailing Coast Guard vessels, violating airspace near airports, and avoiding detection, many lawmakers are growing impatient.

Ryan Herd, Pequannock Township (NJ) Mayor, declared: "We are literally being invaded by drones, and we have no idea who's doing it or why.

"This is a threat—not just because of their size and weight, but because of the unknown purpose behind them.”

SOARING THROUGH THE SKIES

The first sightings were reported on November 18 in New Jersey, with drones seen near sensitive locations such as Picatinny Arsenal, a military research facility, and Donald Trump’s Bedminster golf course.

Since then, dozens of similar sightings have emerged across the northeast and beyond.

In New York, drones grounded flights at Stewart Airfield on December 13 and were spotted over the Bronx days earlier.

In Connecticut, drone detection systems have been deployed near Groton and New London following “suspicious activity.”

Multiple sightings have also been reported in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile in Maryland, former Governor Larry Hogan claimed to have seen “dozens” over his home in Davidsonville.

And in Massachusetts, two men were arrested for operating drones dangerously close to Logan International Airport in Boston.

Internationally, drones have been seen near US military bases in the UK, such as RAF Lakenheath, and even Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

These objects, described as 6-foot-wide drones with unusual light patterns, have been flying at low altitudes and evading detection by traditional systems.

The federal government was unable to provide definitive answers, stating there is no evidence the drones pose a threat to national security, the BBC reports.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas confirmed that some sightings are manned aircraft mistaken for drones but added there is “no known foreign involvement.”

But lawmakers and local leaders remain unconvinced.

New Jersey Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia claimed the drones’ advanced technology, long flight duration, and coordinated maneuvers indicate something far beyond amateur enthusiasts.

She wrote on X: “We know nothing. PERIOD. To state that there is no known or credible threat is incredibly misleading, and I informed all officials of that sentiment.

“State authorities, including the NJSP, are shackled with what they are able to do. Any interception or takedown of any UAS is under the strict jurisdiction of the federal government.”

Amid mounting pressure, state authorities have pledged to investigate further.

Senator Declan O’Scanlon hinted at more advanced radar systems being deployed to detect the drones, with updates expected soon.

Concerns have also grown that the drones could be conducting intelligence-gathering missions.

Experts have speculated they may be linked to Iran, Russia, or even a Chinese “mothership” in the Atlantic, though US officials deny these claims.

ARE DRONES COMING TO THE UK?

In late November, British villagers near RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk reported similar sightings.

Footage emerged showing as many as ten drones performing unusual maneuvers in the area.

Philip Ingram, a former British military intelligence colonel, said the incidents have “all the hallmarks” of Russian GRU operations.

Reports of US nuclear weapons being stored in Suffolk for the first time since the Cold War have heightened fears of foreign involvement.

Local resident Ricky Fletcher described seeing a dozen drones “circling” above his village.

He told the Daily Mail: “We couldn’t believe what we were seeing.

"They moved in sync, and it was clear they weren’t regular planes or helicopters.”
