Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Thursday that the United States has bought Argentine pesos and finalised a $20 billion economic support program with the South American nation's central bank, after concluding talks with his counterpart.The support comes as Argentina's right-wing President Javier Milei, a close ally of US President Donald Trump, had been struggling with market turbulence after a defeat in Buenos Aires provincial elections seen as a bellwether for upcoming mid-terms.
