After winning the Shanghai Masters 1000 title, Monegasque player Valentin Vacherot secured a fine victory over Cameron Norrie in Paris. He will now face a top-10 player in the quarter-finals.

Jannik Sinner, despite a mixed performance, also qualified for the quarter-finals. With Carlos Alcaraz absent, the Italian has a clear path to the title.

And then there is the terrible ordeal for Paris Saint-Germain's Désiré Doué. Having missed part of the early season due to injury, the striker will now miss many more matches for Paris for the same reason. Meanwhile, the Monegasques could witness a highlight this weekend: Paul Pogba is set to return to the football pitch. After a two-year absence, the Frenchman seems closer than ever to returning to competition.
