Turkish police on Tuesday detained dozens of protesters outside an Istanbul courthouse demanding the release of those arrested over the weekend in a sweeping crackdown on LGBTQ+ groups and people.
On Sunday, police raided the offices and homes of multiple LGBTQ+ activists as well as places frequented by them, arrestingat least 60 people, according to Amnesty International. Social media pages and websites belonging LGBTQ+ groups were also blocked or restricted in the country.
