Donald

Trump

is planning to focus his presidential

campaign

on

border security

and the

economy

, two such issues he believes

Kamala Harris

is struggling with, according to The Wall Street Journal.
This decision follows Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s announcement on Fox News Sunday that Trump will soon reveal a “series of announcements about other Democrats joining his 2024 campaign.”
The strategy of targeting Harris on these issues is already underway.

Trump has been vocal on

social media

about these topics since Harris was announced as Joe Biden's replacement. According to The Wall Street Journal, Trump decided which points to address during Harris' speech at the

Democratic National Convention

(DNC).
As Harris spoke at the DNC, Trump was active on

Truth Social

. He criticised Harris for focusing on her parents and personal life during her speech. "Kamala's biography won't lower prices at the grocery store, or at the pump! She said, 'chart a new way forward,' but she’s had three and a half years, and has done nothing but HARM!" Trump posted on Truth Social.

In addition to his social media posts, Trump has coined new nicknames for Harris, 'Border Czar' and 'Comrade.' According to Trump advisers cited by WSJ, he plans to be more active in his campaign efforts moving forward.
Robert F Kennedy Jr also commented on the political landscape, mentioning that some Democrats will soon endorse Trump. The independent candidate has suspended his presidential campaign and thrown his support behind Trump.
Meanwhile, a

Fairleigh Dickinson University

poll released on Friday shows Kamala Harris holding a 7-point lead over Trump nationally. The survey found the Democratic nominee ahead with 50% to Trump's 43%, with 7% of respondents indicating they will vote for another candidate.
