ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Hopes of an Iran war ceasefire appeared muted on Sunday after President Donald Trump scrapped the U.S. negotiating delegation’s trip to Pakistan at the last minute, raising risks of severe global economic consequences and continuing political peril for Republicans in the midterm elections.
