on Tuesday announced his upcoming interview with Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and owner of X, set for next Monday night (local time). This interview is part of the buildup to the November election, in which Musk has already endorsed Trump as the Republican candidate.
Trump made the announcement on Truth Social, saying, "On Monday night i’ll be doing a major interview with Elon musk — details to follow."
This news comes amid recent political developments, including Democratic presidential contender Kamala Harris selecting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.

Musk's connections to America PAC, a pro-Trump super PAC, have come under significant scrutiny. The organization, which had planned to spend millions during the campaign, has encountered significant challenges.
Elon Musk has publicly supported Trump's bid for re-election, especially after the recent assassination attempt on Trump. Musk has also criticised the alleged "shadow ban" on Trump by Google and Meta but refuted claims of a $45 million per month donation to Trump's campaign, saying that while he does intend to donate, it will be a much smaller amount.

Trump has participated in numerous interviews on Fox News and other conservative media outlets in recent weeks, but is facing intensifying pressure to debate Vice President Harris, who has said she is willing to face off with Trump on September 10 on ABC.
Trump has said he will not debate Harris on ABC, citing what he says is the network’s bias against him, and proposing Harris debate him a week earlier at an event hosted by Fox News.
