This one special item fetched a huge amount of money when it went to auction and it’s retained the title of most expensive antique ever since. The world of antiques is filled with rare treasures, but none have reached the astronomical price tag of this item.
The Pinner Qing Dynasty Vase is an 18th-century Chinese porcelain piece, holding the record for the most expensive antique ever sold. This vase, adorned with intricate floral designs and vibrant colors, was discovered in a modest home in Pinner, London. It fetched an astounding $80.2 million (£62.2 million) at a 2010 auction.

The vase’s exceptional craftsmanship and historical significance, dating back to the Qing Dynasty, make it a prized possession for collectors.
Many of the most expensive antiques ever sold range from ancient artifacts to unique pieces of furniture and hold immense historical and cultural value.
After the vase, in second place is the Ru Guanyao Brush Washer Bowl, a small dish from the Northern Song Dynasty which set a world record for Chinese porcelain in 2017, reports Times of India.
Measuring just 5.125 inches, the 900-year-old dish was listed as “highly important and extremely rare.”
It fetched $37.68 million (£29.22 million) at a Sotheby’s auction in Hong Kong after a 20-minute bidding battle.
