A stunning village in Spain is reportedly looking for residents, with houses as cheap as £33,000 (€40,000). Located just one hour from Seville, Coripe is a charming European village in the Sierra Sur region of Seville, Andalusia, Spain.

With 1,200 residents living in the area, the village is now looking for more people to re-populate the area. Popular for its breathtaking landscapes and rich Andalusian heritage, Coripe provides a tranquil escape amid olive groves, rolling hills, and mountain views. The village has become part of the Holapueblo initiative, a program spearheaded by IKEA, AlmaNatura, and Redeia, aimed at revitalising rural communities.

The town's mayor, José Godino Romero, emphasises the village will promote entrepreneurial initiatives, which he believes is the perfect environment to develop a professional project remotely since there is a co-working space in town, reports Noticias Trabajo.

The village has its own charm with its festivals, agro economy and rural food.

It celebrates its local festivals with fervor, including the famous Domingo de Resurrección (Easter Sunday), known for its unique tradition of burning effigies.

The Spainish village promotes entrepreneurship in sectors such as rural tourism and agri-food.

The Oleícola Coripeña Cooperative is an important part of the local economy. Living in the village offers many advantages—low living costs, plenty of jobs, and affordable housing.

According to Mundo Deportivo, rental prices can be as low as €200 per month, and houses can be bought for as little as €40,000 to €50,000.

However, the village doesn’t offer government housing, so newcomers need to look at private listings to find a place.

Coripe is part of Andalusia's rich culinary scene, featuring dishes made with locally produced olive oil, fresh produce, and traditional Spanish recipes.

Less than an hour's drive from Seville, Coripe is a convenient destination for those seeking a blend of rural charm and proximity to city amenities.
