Taylor Swift’s $4 million gift to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in 2012 helped create a dedicated education centre in Nashville. The space was designed for more than music lessons: it would give children and families room to learn, experiment and engage with country music’s history. Fourteen years later, the centre is hosting Connection, an exhibition of posters created by Metro Nashville Public Schools students and artists from Friends Life Community, a nonprofit serving adults with developmental disabilities. The museum says the participants explored the history and techniques of Hatch Show Print, its historic letterpress shop, before making their own work. The exhibition brings the centre’s original educational promise to life, showing how a space built for learning can keep opening doors to creativity and community.A major gift for educationIn May 2012, Swift pledged $4 million towards a new education centre at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
