Syria’s first elections since Assad’s fall conclude

Syria has concluded its first elections since the fall of Bashar al-Assad. The public did not directly vote for members of the new parliament and President Ahmed al-Sharaa is directly choosing several dozens, but analysts are defending the process as an interim step after years of chaos.
