A stunt car lost control during a show in Leinfelden-Echterdingen in Germany, crashing into spectators and injuring seven people, including three children. The driver, attempting a rollover stunt, sped over a ramp but spun out just after 3pm on Monday, hitting the crowd where only a small fence stood.
A safety vehicle meant to block the stunt car failed to move due to a technical fault, reported Bild. Emergency crews arrived quickly, treating mostly minor cuts and abrasions. The stunt driver’s family expressed shock and pledged full cooperation with the police investigation.
Emergency medical crews responded with three ambulances, an emergency doctor, and a scene coordinator.
The fire brigade deployed two vehicles and eight firefighters to assist.
Investigators from Esslingen traffic police are now leading efforts to determine the exact cause of the crash.
The stunt driver's brother told the newspaper: "There is a safety mechanism.
"A second vehicle that drives between the spectator area and the ramp to intercept the stunt car."

Monday’s show took place in the car park of an OBI hardware store in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg.
About 300 people were in attendance when the accident occurred.
The 21-year-old stunt driver is believed to be the son of the event organiser.
Police are now investigating the incident, focusing on possible technical failures and safety protocol breaches.
