'She'll cut her own path ...': Biden on Kamala Harris' Presidential vision

Speaking at a Democratic dinner in Philadelphia, Biden reflected on his own experience as vice president under Barack Obama, saying, "Every president has to cut their own path. I was loyal to Barack Obama, but I cut my own path as president.

That's what Kamala's going to do."

Biden highlighted Harris’s loyalty while asserting that her leadership would offer a "fresh and new" perspective on the country’s challenges, in contrast to Donald Trump’s "old and failed" approach.
Biden added: "Kamala's perspective on our problems will be fresh and new. Donald Trump's perspective is old and failed and quite frankly thoroughly totally dishonest."

Harris took over as the Democratic Presidential nominee in July after 81-year-old Biden stepped from the race. "When I decided it was time to pass the torch to the next generation, I knew. I knew who I wanted to replace me," Biden said, his recent dinner speech was seen as a strong endorsement of Harris.
Harris has faced backlash from Republicans for a recent statement, after a recent interview where she said "There is not a thing that comes to mind... and I've been part of most of the decisions that have had impact," Harris said when asked how she would have done things differently from Biden administration.

This has placed her in a critical position where she is advocating for change while not distancing herself from Biden’s policies.
A New York Times/Siena poll one week ago found voters were marginally more likely to see her, rather than Trump, as a break from the status quo.
Biden also launched a full-blown verbal attack on Trump while portraying the former President as out of touch with modern America, mocking a recent town hall where the former president danced for 30 minutes. He said, "What's wrong with this guy?"
Biden further condemned Trump for his stance on immigration, "Trump hides all his racism, now it's all out front. He has the same ideas on race as the 1930s. Trump's ideas on the economy are from the 20s. Trump's ideas on women are from the 50s," he said.
