A huge fire has erupted at a Honda factory in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, Barcelona, Spain, as smoke fills the sky.

Video footage shared online has shown a huge plume of smoke above the building as fire services respond.

For the moment, no injuries have been reported.

The latest statement from the fire service says: "In Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, we continue working on extinguishing the fire that is completely affecting an industrial warehouse in the Torre del Rector industrial estate, dedicated to the automotive sector. We are there with 18 units, working with the objective of preventing the spread of the fire to nearby warehouses."

The fire service has added: "Industrial fires in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda.

"Do not approach the fire zone.

"If smoke reaches you:

"Close doors and windows.

"Avoid outdoor activities.

"Follow the instructions of the emergency services."

Shocking footage from the base of the building has been shared by Barcelona's fire service.

It shows black smoke pouring out of the building.
