Mame Mandiaye Niang says the court’s job is to step in if domestic justice systems fail. The Senegalese judge is at the centre of a storm amid sanctions put on the court by the US after its issuing of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant over Israel’s actions in Gaza.
