Russian literary monument returns to Dresden

The ceremony was attended by Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechayev, who thanked the city authorities for their commitment to preserving cultural and humanitarian ties between the two nations.Initially unveiled in 2006 during a ceremony attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and then-German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the monument was installed on the bank of the Elbe River near the regional parliament building.
