Russian propagandists have warned "crackpot" Donald Trump could launch a nuclear strike on Iran as they revel in the chaos caused by the conflict.

During a TV show hosted by pro-Kremlin Vladimir Solovyov, a member of the Russian Duma (Russian Parliament) said he was worried Mr Trump could hit Iran with a nuclear bomb. Semyon Bagdasarov said: "I am not a big expert in Israeli domestic politics, but their opposition is openly criticising Netanyahu, screaming that he led the country to a dead end, that he does not possess strategic thinking, that he's very dangerous and so on, that they are on the brink of carrying out a nuclear strike against Iran. No one can guarantee that they won't."

After his word Solovyov echoed "no one can gurantee they won't carry out a nuclear strike against Iran," before Bagdasarov could add: "According to Trump's circles, he is a crackpot, God only know what's going on in his head."

Russian state media previously mocked Mr Trump over the Iran war, branding his campaign a "political failure" and insisting there are "no grounds at all" for him to claim victory.
