Russia has claimed to be creating a "magic pill" that could help people live to 120. State TV show The Meeting Place claimed Russians "will be able to actively live to be 120 years old" due to the advancements. It featured hosts Andrey Norkin and Ivan Trushkin, vice president of the "Pillar of Russia" Dmitry Pischalnikov, and sociologist Lyudmila Brushkova.
Norkin said: "Very soon our scientists will reach such a level of development in the pharmaceutical industry that there will be some sort of magic pills and all of us will live to the age of 120 years. We will live happily ever after and accumulate all kinds of good things."

The Russian government has launched initiatives and research into anti-ageing, with deputy prime minister Tatyana Golikova saying there could be medication to rejuvenate cells by 2030.
It aims to combat declining life expectancy, with some scientists linking research to potentially reaching 120 years.
Golikova said in May: "Towards the completion of the project, our scientists expect to receive and start using medications that can rejuvenate ageing cells and restore their functions.
"The plan in the mid-term prospect is to develop panels and test systems to determine the biological age and organ and tissue aging processes.
"We could say some time ago that this was an unthinkable future, but today this is the reality we are working with."
She said there will also be the opportunity to speed up the diagnosis of age-related diseases and risks.
