Donald Trump has made "no adjustments to his lifestyle" since being diagnosed with a chronic vein condition, the White House confirmed. The topic of the US President's health was raised at a press conference, and comes after the 79-year-old was seen with a mystery mark in Scotland following his diagnosis was made public.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked how Trump was being treated and whether the US President's doctor would be made available to answer questions about his condition. "I don't want to make that commitment on behalf of the physician, but it's certainly something we can look into and explore out of the effort of transparency, because unlike the previous White House, there is nothing to hide," she replied. She added that Trump is seen "literally 24/7 all of the time" and she would seek an answer to the question.

However she remained vague on the details of his treatment, when pressed to give more information.

"Look, you see the President every day," she said. "He's moving, he's working. There have been no adjustments made to his lifestyle."

The White House Press Secretary had to field another question about Trump's stumbling performance on Monday. The Republican boss twice got confused over details of his forthcoming summit with Vladimir Putin, telling journalists he was off to Russia to meet Vladimir Putin.

The summit is taking place in Alaska and will be held at the US military's Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage. Leavitt dismissed the question, suggesting the US President might have been referring to a future trip to Russia.

She emphasised that the meeting in Alaska was a "listening exercise" and had been requested by Putin.

"The goal of this meeting for the President is to walk away with a better understanding of how we can end this war."

European and Nato leaders, including UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, will speak to Trump in a virtual meeting to be held on this afternoon.

Leaders are expected to discuss pressure options against Russia, questions about Ukrainian territories seized by Russia, security guarantees for Kyiv and the sequencing of potential peace talks.

According to a schedule seen by POLITICO, a series of virtual meetings will start at 1pm BST on Wednesday, beginning with a one-hour discussion including leaders from Germany, Finland, France, the UK, Italy, Poland, plus the European Commission and European Council presidents as well as Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO chief Mark Rutte.
