Luis Enrique's team are competing in today's UEFA Super Cup, which sees the winners of the Champions League and the Europa League face off against one another. Having returned from holiday a week ago following a historic season, Paris Saint-Germain have not played a single match since losing the Club World Cup final to Chelsea last month. They'll be playing Tottenham, who struggled last year but are now embarking on a new era.

With just a few weeks to go until the World Athletics Championships in Japan, the king of pole vaulting has set the tone by breaking his own world record yet again. Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis cleared the bar at 6.29 metres.
