From the show
PSG once again showed moments of weakness but ultimately prevailed. The European champions advanced to the Champions League round of 16 after a 2-2 draw at home against 10-man Monaco (5-4 on aggregate). They will face either Barcelona or Chelsea in the round of 16, with the draw scheduled for Friday.
Real Madrid, Galatasaray, and Atalanta have also secured their spots. The Spanish giants beat Benfica again to seal their place in the round of 16, with goals from Aurélien Tchouaméni and Vinicius (2-1, 1-0). Galatasaray survived Juventus’ stirring fightback to reach the last 16 for the first time since 2014. Atalanta salvaged national pride as the only Italian club to qualify for the round of 16 after defeating Borussia Dortmund 4-1, overturning a 2-0 first-leg deficit.
