Health Ministry tries to reassure public
The Czech Republic's Health Minister has tried to reassure the public that hospitals can cope with the power outrage.
Vlastimil Valek said: "I want to reassure everyone. Healthcare facilities have clear procedures for such situations.

Prague international airport still operational
The main international airport in Prague - Václav Havel Airport - is reportedly not affected by the power outage.
The Czech Republic's Minister of Transport Martin Kupka posted on social media to ask passengers to remain calm.
He said: "I ask all passengers for their understanding and patience.
"Energy workers are working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
"Prague Airport was not affected by the power outage.

National operator gives major update on blackout
Czechia's national transmission system operator has given a major update on the blackout.
ČEPS said: "Part of the transmission system is without power, and most of the substations of the transmission system were also affected by the event.

North and east Czech Republic affected - power company statement
A spokesman for Czech power operator, ČEPS, told local outlet iROZHLAS.cz: "At this moment, we can confirm that there was a failure of the 411 line and subsequently the creation of an island operation in the north and east of the Czech Republic. The event affected a part of the transmission system without voltage, and a larger part of the transmission system distribution.
