Firefighters have stormed one of the world's busiest train stations in the early hours of Friday, May 29. Services at Penn Station in New York City were severely disrupted after an Amtrak track car fire in one of the Hudson River Tunnels, NJ Transit said.

The blaze resulted in the suspension of services between Penn Station New York and Newark Penn Station. 1010 WINS journalist Glenn Schuck shared on X several videos, showing a large number of firefighters outside the station, as he described the "massive response" to the incident.

Cause of the fire not known

The cause of the fire remain under investigation, authorities said.

At least five injured

Authorities say five workers, believed to be railroad employees, were injured and treated for smoke inhalation, ABC News said.
