An Oklahoma woman has been reunited with her missing dog after he was found about 1,100 miles away in North Carolina, leaving his owner and local animal services with a mystery over how he travelled so far. Melissa Burris, who lives near Tulsa in northeastern Oklahoma, said her 10-year-old Australian shepherd, Rio, disappeared from home on July 30 and did not return. She searched for him and posted about his disappearance in local groups, refusing to give up hope of finding him. Nearly two weeks later, Burris received an unexpected call from Guilford County Animal Services in Greensboro, North Carolina.
