Oil prices leap after attacks in Red Sea

At least one Saudi oil tanker has been attacked in the Red Sea, widening the risks to energy supplies already disrupted by a near-halt to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

The price of Brent Crude, the international benchmark, rose 5 percent to over $98 a barrel as the violence raised fears of greater supply disruptions.
