Nine people killed and dozens injured in Afghanistan earthquake

Nine people have been killed in a 6.0 magnitude earthquake in Afghanistan.

The earthquake was at a depth of 10km (6.21 miles) and struck the southeast of the country, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said.

At least nine people were killed and 25 were injured in Nangahar province, according to Ajmal Darwaish, spokesman for the regional health department.
