in a traffic accident, local authorities said.
Around 7.40am, a truck collided with a car on a segment of the national highway in

Qingtongxia City

, killing nine people and injuring two others,

reported.
The injured were taken to a local hospital, and their injuries are not life-threatening, according to the regional public security department.

The matter is under investigation.
