Nexus Data Centers in advanced talks to secure $15B for Google-backed Anthropic data center

Nexus Data Centers will use the capital to develop a data center campus in Hubbard, Texas, according to a source familiar with the discussions who asked not to be named because the details are confidential. As part of the deal, Google agreed to backstop Anthropic with its investment-grade credit rating, the person said. The Wall Street Journal was first to report the deal. Anthropic has been engaging with a variety of infrastructure partners this year, inking a flurry of deals in an effort to increase its computing capacity.
