New York woman pleads guilty to trafficking Indians into the US from Canada border. New York woman Stacey Taylor, 43, who was arrested and charged with human trafficking in 2025, has now pleaded guilty to her role in an international smuggling conspiracy that primarily brought Indians to the US through the US-Canada border. On January 20, 2025, Taylor's vehicle was stopped by the border patrol agents near Churubusco, New York. Four men, three Indians and one Canadian, were sitting inside her vehicleWhen law enforcement later examined Taylor's cellphone, they learned that Taylor had received coordinates for the illegal migrants' location and instructions for picking them up. The four migrants illegally entered the United States on foot through a wooded area and got into Taylor’s waiting vehicle, and she then drove them away from the border and further into the interior of the United States.
