A plane crashed shortly after take-off at an airport in Mogadishu, Somalia, on Tuesday. According to reports on social media, the aircraft took off from Aden Adde Airport, headed for Guriel, when it quickly ran into problems.

The Starsky plane appeared to crash on the shoreline of the Indian Ocean, which is just next to the airport. Videos posted to X showed passengers leaving the plane and walking away. It is not yet known whether there have been any injuries.

According to social media reports, two passengers have suffered minor injuries in the crash. 

Journalist Hussien Mohammed wrote on X: "At least two passengers have suffered minor injuries after a passenger plane crash landed near Mogadishu airport moments ago. Initial reports say the incident was likely caused by a technical problem. More details to follow."
