Yesterday's key developments:
• A new round of talks between Iranian and US delegations began in Islamabad, with Pakistani officials acting as mediators.
• Israeli strikes on a village near Sidon in south Lebanon killed eight people and wounded nine others, five of them seriously, the Lebanese health ministry said.
• The US military said that it had started “setting conditions" for clearing mines in the Strait of Hormuz, with two US warships passing through the key waterway.
• Lebanese authorities said that Israeli strikes have killed 2,020 people since the start of the war.
